About the LMC Patient Portal, Uninsured Services and our Block Fee Program
Effective September 1, 2024, LMC Healthcare will begin charging for uninsured services not covered by the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP). This decision is essential to ensure we continue providing the high-quality care our patients deserve.
Utilizing uninsured services is entirely optional, and declining these services will not affect the healthcare we provide you. Our Block Fee program offers patients 12 months of unlimited uninsured services for a flat fee. Learn more about the Block Fee program here.
The prices for these uninsured services are determined based on recommendations from the Ontario Medical Association and include:

Filling pharmacy prescription renewal requests (outside of clinic appointments)

Filling out medical forms

Access to our Enhanced Call Center

Compensation for no-show appointments

Responding to medical inquiries (outside of clinic appointments)
