Dr. Vecchiarelli was born and raised in Woodbridge, Ontario.  He obtained his medical degree at Queen’s University in 2010, where he was awarded special distinction for graduating with the highest standing in the class.  Dr. Vecchiarelli completed training in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology at the University of Toronto in 2015, and remains actively involved at Mt. Sinai Hospital in collaboration with ICES in gestational diabetes research.

Dr. Vecchiarelli’s areas of interest span all endocrinology, particularly diabetes, thyroid, adrenal and pituitary disorders.  His past research has included projects focusing on coronary artery disease.  Dr. Vecchiarelli has co-authored several published abstracts, as well as posters presented at the Canadian Cardiovascular Congress and the Canadian Society for Clinical Investigation (CSCI) Young Investigators Forum.
