Dr. Ahmed Elsherif received his medical degree from the University of Medical Sciences & Technology, Sudan. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at St. Mary Mercy Hospital in Livonia, Michigan; and sub-specialized in Endocrinology at the University of Toledo, Ohio where he served as the chief fellow.  Before joining LMC Scarborough, he practiced at the Texas Diabetes Institute in San Antonio, Texas, one of the largest and most comprehensive centers in the U.S., dedicated to the prevention and treatment of diabetes, as well as other Endocrine conditions. He received certifications in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Elsherif has a special interest in Diabetes Technology, Thyroid and Calcium disorders.
