Harbhajan<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Type 2\u00a0Diabetes
\nDiagnosed 1988<\/h3>\n

Harbhajan was referred to LMC by his family physician to help him better manage his diabetes. He has found it helpful speaking with his endocrinologist and diabetes educator face to face and has seen many positive improvements in his quality of life and has successfully maintained control of his diabetes.<\/h3>\n

Marilyn<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\nDiagnosed 2008<\/h3>\n

For Marilyn, living with diabetes and a learning disability was a great challenge. With the education, support and patience she has received from her team of friendly, reliable doctors and diabetes educators at LMC, she now feels comfortable and relaxed managing her diabetes on her own.<\/h3>\n

Edith<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Type 1 Diabetes
\nDiagnosed 1991<\/h3>\n

At the young age of 11, diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) brought Edith to the hospital and ultimately led to her diagnosis of type 1 diabetes. Worried about adopting a new lifestyle, Edith was also concerned about being a burden to those around her. Becoming a patient at LMC helped Edith take control of her diabetes.<\/span><\/h3>\n

Richard<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Type 1 Diabetes
\nDiagnosed 1964<\/h3>\n

Diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of 17 years old, Richard was uncertain of his future. His outlook on life with diabetes has very much changed since then. With the help of his team at LMC, he has gained knowledge and advanced skills to better manage his diabetes and he continues to live a happy and healthy life.<\/h3>\n
