{"id":59344,"date":"2018-03-13T15:23:49","date_gmt":"2018-03-13T15:23:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lmcca.wpengine.com\/?p=58318"},"modified":"2018-07-16T19:02:32","modified_gmt":"2018-07-16T19:02:32","slug":"hearty-asian-soup","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.lmc.ca\/hi\/lmc-blog\/hearty-asian-soup\/","title":{"rendered":"\u0939\u093e\u0930\u094d\u0926\u093f\u0915 \u090f\u0936\u093f\u092f\u093e\u0908 \u0938\u0942\u092a"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[et_pb_section bb_built=&#8221;1&#8243; admin_label=&#8221;section&#8221;][et_pb_row admin_label=&#8221;row&#8221;][et_pb_column type=&#8221;4_4&#8243;][et_pb_text admin_label=&#8221;Text&#8221; background_layout=&#8221;light&#8221; text_orientation=&#8221;left&#8221; use_border_color=&#8221;off&#8221; border_color=&#8221;#ffffff&#8221; border_style=&#8221;solid&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">This soup is a quick lunch filled with fibre and protein; plus it is ideal to use the leftovers in the fridge!<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"p1\"><strong><span class=\"s2\">Ingredients:<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\">\n<h4><span class=\"s1\">500 ml (2 cups) of vegetables of your choice, julienned or thinly sliced<\/span><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">\n<h4><span class=\"s1\">1 container of\u00a0900 ml of chicken reduced sodium broth<\/span><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">\n<h4><span class=\"s1\">30 ml (2 tablespoon) of fish sauce\u00a0(nam pla)<\/span><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">\n<h4><span class=\"s1\">Juice of 1 lime<\/span><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">\n<h4><span class=\"s1\">5 ml (1 teaspoon) of thaii curry paste\u00a0(facultative)<\/span><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">\n<h4><span class=\"s1\">2 packages of pre-cooked udon noodles\u00a0(vacuum-packed)<\/span><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">\n<h4><span class=\"s1\">250 ml (1 cup) of diced cooked\u00a0chicken\u00a0(or\u00a0diced cooked\u00a0pork tenderloin, of cooked nordic shrimps, or leftover from sliced roast beef)<\/span><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"p1\"><strong><span class=\"s1\">Preparation:<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s4\">1. In a medium pot, pour the chicken broth. Add the fish sauce and the lime juice. Complete with the the curry paste if desired. Do not salt since the fish sauce is already very salty.<\/span><\/h4>\n<h4 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s4\">2. Bring to a boil over high heat and let simmer 5 minutes.<\/span><\/h4>\n<h4 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s4\">3. Divide the noodles in every\u00a0bowls, add\u00a0125 ml (1\/2 cup)\u00a0of vegetables of your choice and\u00a060 ml (1\/4 cup) of chicken.<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Note:\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s3\">Many choices are possible to garnish your soup: julienned colored peppers, finely sliced\u00a0zucchinis, grated carrots, finely sliced mushrooms, canned bamboo shoots, bean sprouts, minced green onions, snow peas, minced napa cabbage, etc.<\/span><\/h4>\n<h4 class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s3\">Also, have your soup ready-to-eat at school or at work by keeping it warm in a thermos!<\/span><\/h4>\n<h4 class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s3\">1. Before cutting the vegetables,\u00a0Preheat\u00a0the\u00a0thermos by filling them with boiling water and close the lid.<\/span><\/h4>\n<h4 class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s3\">2. Drain water from the thermos when ready to split up the noodles and vegetables.<\/span><\/h4>\n<h4 class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s3\">3. Fill every\u00a0thermos of boiling liquid and close.
