Diagnostic Technology

LMC clinics are equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic technology that can to help your eye doctor assess and monitor your eye health over time.

  • Optical coherence tomography (OCT) is a non-invasive imaging test. With OCT, your optometrist can see each of the retina’s distinctive layers and measure their thickness to help assess eye health. They also provide treatment guidance for glaucoma and diseases of the retina.

  • Retinal imaging is a digital image taken of the retina, blood vessels and optic nerve located at the back of your eyes to assist in the early detection and management of certain eye diseases, such as diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, macular degeneration, hypertension and various ocular tumors. Retinal imaging also provides photographic documentation so that your eye doctor can closely track and monitor the health of your eyes.

  • Visual field testing is an important part of regular eye care for people who are at risk for vision loss from disease and other conditions. A visual field test can determine if you have blind spots in your vision and where they are.  Our automated perimetry test helps create a more detailed map of where you can and can’t see.

An eye exam performed by an LMC Optometrist looks at the entire eye health and visual system, as well as your prescription. Book by phone: 1-833-562-3937, 9AM – 5PM, Monday to Friday
