Aim for a result of 7% or less by keeping blood sugars between4-7 mmol\/L fasting and 5-10 mmol\/L 2 hours after a meal.<\/h4>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<h4><strong>B<\/strong><\/h4>\n<\/td>\n<td>\n<h4><strong>Blood Pressure<\/strong>\u00a0targets<\/h4>\n<\/td>\n<td>\n<h4>This can be measured at home or at your doctor\u2019s office.<\/h4>\n<h4>Aim for a result of 130\/80 or less.<\/h4>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<h4><strong>C<\/strong><\/h4>\n<\/td>\n<td>\n<h4><strong>Cholesterol<\/strong>\u00a0targets<\/h4>\n<\/td>\n<td>\n<h4>The \u2018bad\u2019 cholesterol is called LDL and is measured in the lab.<\/h4>\n<h4>Aim for a result of 2.0 or less.<\/h4>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<h4><strong>D<\/strong><\/h4>\n<\/td>\n<td>\n<h4><strong>Drugs<\/strong>\u00a0for CVD risk reduction<\/h4>\n<\/td>\n<td>\n<h4>Diabetes increases your risk of coronary artery disease, heart attack and stroke. You may be recommended blood pressure and cholesterol medications to protect your heart.<\/h4>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<h4><strong>E<\/strong><\/h4>\n<\/td>\n<td>\n<h4><strong>Exercise<\/strong>\u00a0goals and healthy Eating<\/h4>\n<\/td>\n<td>\n<h4>150 minutes of moderate to vigorous aerobic activity\/ week and resistance exercises 2-3 times\/week.<\/h4>\n<h4>Follow a healthy eating plan.<\/h4>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<h4><strong>S<\/strong><\/h4>\n<\/td>\n<td>\n<h4><strong>Screening<\/strong>\u00a0for complications<\/h4>\n<\/td>\n<td>\n<h4>Get checked annually for:<\/h4>\n<h4>\u2022 Eyes &amp; Feet &#8211; See your eye doctor and foot doctor once a year.<\/h4>\n<h4>\u2022 Kidneys &#8211; A urine test called uACR measures the health of your kidneys.
