Insulin Pump Clinics

Each of the LMC Endocrinology Centres in Ontario is an accredited Centre  through the Assisted Device Program (ADP).  All of our centres offer a comprehensive educational program for patients interested in learning about pumps,  initiating insulin pump therapy or on-going pump therapy support.   All of our clinics provide experienced pump nurses and dietitians, focused on the needs of the patient who prefers an insulin pump. We offer continuing education on carb counting, insulin sensitivity factors, insulin to carb ratios, advanced pumping/button skills, continuous glucose monitoring and more.

LMC Pump workshops and supports are offered at all of our sites and each centre has expertise in the range of pumps available on the market including the Animas Pump,  Medtronic(MiniMed) Pump as well Accu-check Pump.  Pumps  are designed to work together with a range of devices and each system is unique. Our Pump nurses will help educate you and you make the choice that is right for you.

Please feel free to contact us about our information sessions or our 3-day sensor trial program for patients who haven’t yet started a pump or just want to gain a greater knowledge of their blood glucose control. The sensor can be worn virtually undetected and give 3-days of real time blood glucose awareness. Any patient with Diabetes can use the sensor and purchase a 3-day sensor and improve their continuous glucose awareness.
